The beach at Moliets is part of the silver coast that stretches from Arochan to Biarritz. It's silver sands glimmer in the sunshine and with waves that are renowned for surfing and windsurfing it is perfect for beach holidays. There are surf schools at Moliets if you want to have a go and the beach has a lifeguard presence in high season to ensure safe bathing.
The swimming pool at the apartment provides a safe environment for children to swim whilst you can relax on the terrace. During the summer you can play beach volley or trampoline on the beach where there is also a soft play area for the little ones.
The miles of cycle tracks through the magnificent Landais forests are safe for children and mean you can explore the area reaching surrounding pretty villages, the nature reserve at courant d'Huchet or one of the swimming lakes nearby such as at Leon. The lake here has beaches and many water sports to try in beautiful surroundings. Whilst the nature reserve is a must for lovers of nature and bird watchers, take a boat up the estuary and see how many types of birds you can spot.
The prestigious championship golf course at Moliets which the apartment overlooks is one of the top courses in France. Of international calibre it is also regarded as one of the most beautiful places to play as the course winds through the forest and along the beach. Play year round on the 18 hole course, there is also a 9 hole course and 2 practice ranges. Sunday afternoons beginners can have a go and every Wednesday there are competitions for the more experienced.
There are a number of tennis courts next to the golf course, a skateboarding park and miles of beach to fly kites. Horse riding, roller skating, paragliding, acrobatic trails in the tree tops, trampolining are just a few of the other activities on offer.
Also not to be missed is the near by adventure park, paintball, quad bikes, miniature golf course, canoe, kayak and pedal boats on Lake Leon.
During the summer there are a number of festivals taking place that
are publicised in the tourist office. Sports equipment can be hired
easily in Moliets including bikes and golf clubs.
